Russian Aerospace Forces Chief To Lead 'Joint Group of Forces' In Ukraine Amid Putin's Sacking Spree

Russia has appointed its Air and Space Forces chief to lead the war in Ukraine following a string of battlefield losses that have drawn fierce criticism from Putin loyalists like Chechen leader Ramazan Kadyrov and the founder of Wagner Group of mercenaries, Yevgeny Prigozhin. General Sergey Surovikin will command “the Joint Grouping of Forces in the areas of the special military operation”, as per the Russian defence ministry.
