Wine Grapes 101: MERLOT
Merlot is one of those grape varieties, that everyone has heard about, but actually it is really hard to find 100% Merlot-based wines. Although Merlot is often referred as the blending partner for the Cabernet Sauvignon grape, Merlot on its own can produce great and age worthy wines. In this video I will talk about this grape variety in general, how it tastes and smells like, where it is grown, recommended food pairings, as well as notable producers.
