The BRICS group on Thursday issued a joint declaration adopted at its 14th summit. As China holds the chairmanship in 2022, Chinese President Xi Jinping presided over the summit in Beijing via video link, with the attendance of South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
