Half a billion dollars worth of drugs set on fire in Southeast Asia’s Golden Triangle

Authorities in Myanmar have torched more than half a billion dollars worth of seized narcotics, including nearly 2 tonnes (2,000kg) of heroin and over US$630 million worth of meth. This came as the Southeast Asian country saw a record number of methamphetamine production, especially in its northern Shan state.

Authorities in Myanmar have torched more than half a billion dollars worth of seized narcotics, including nearly 2 tonnes (2,000kg) of heroin and over US$630 million worth of meth.
