Students in Beijing return to class as Covid-19 wanes in Chinese capital

Students in Beijing began returning for in-person classes on Monday June 27, 2022, as the Covid-19 pandemic situation eased in the Chinese capital. According to the arrangements announced by Li Yi, spokesman of the Beijing Municipal Education Commission, primary, middle and high school as well as kindergarten students will resume face-to-face classes, while quarantined students are required to continue online classes at home.

Students in Beijing began returning for in-person classes on Monday June 27, 2022, as the Covid-19 pandemic situation eased in the Chinese capital. According to the arrangements announced by Li Yi, spokesman of the Beijing Municipal Education Commission, primary, middle and high school as well as kindergarten students will resume face-to-face classes, while quarantined students are required to continue online classes at home. New campus pandemic-control requirements include twice weekly coronavirus tests for teachers, students and staff members, as well as the collection of samples from the campus environment for nucleic acid tests every week. School summer holidays in Beijing will start on July 15 as scheduled.
