63 Days: Post journalist recounts living through Shanghai's Covid-19 lockdown

The Chinese city of Shanghai carried out one of the world's strictest lockdowns to stop the spread of the Covid-19, from March to June 2022. The city of 22.5 million people essentially shut down as residents were ordered not to leave their residential compounds and were subject to daily Covid-19 PCR tests, all as the city tried to achieve the national government's dynamic zero-Covid strategy. People who tested positive were taken to government-run quarantine facilities and as the lockdown went on, others who lived near a positive case were taken into isolation too. The Post's Shanghai video correspondent Thomas Yau documented his 63 days in lockdown and the struggles of having enough food, and continuing to work with minimal resources.
