French freediver Arnaud Jerald set a new deep dive world record on August 9, 2022. He broke the world record for bi-fin freediving with a descent of 120 metres (393 feet) at Dean’s Blue Hole during an annual multi-day competition in the Bahamas. The dive, which took 3 minutes and 34 seconds, marks the seventh time Jerald has broken the world record in his career and is his second record-setting depth at the competition.
